Dr Janet Sluggett is an Associate Professor in Pharmacy & Pharmacoepidemiology, NHMRC Emerging Leadership 2 Fellow and Enterprise Fellow with UniSA Allied Health & Human Performance. Janet is also an Affiliate Post-doctoral Researcher at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).
Janet is a mid-career pharmacist researcher. Her research focuses on using real world data to maximise the benefits and reduce the risks relating to medicines use among older people receiving community and residential aged care services. Janet also conducts research to support new models of pharmacy practice.
Janet is a Non-Executive Director of the Australian MedicAlert Foundation and Southern Cross Care SA, NT & VIC. She has previously been a visiting research fellow at the Kaiser Permanente National Implant Registries in San Diego and the Kuopio Research Centre for Geriatric Care, University of Eastern Finland.
Janet is interested in supervising research students who are interested in aged care, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacy, quality use of medicines or health services research.
