Georgina Hughes is an early career pharmacist researcher and works as a Research Fellow at the University of South Australia. Georgina's research focuses on using real-world data to support quality use of medicines among older people who access aged care services.
Georgina undertook her PhD with the University of South Australia and the Registry of Senior Australians (ROSA). Her PhD used big data to explore the real-world use and safety of antidepressant medicines among older people living in aged care homes.
Georgina is passionate about research that informs the safe and effective use of medicines and the best utilisation of pharmacists' skills within aged and healthcare systems, to optimise care and overall outcomes for older people.
