My core research interest is on the design and development of advanced graphene composites for environmental and sustainability applications, primarily to remove heavy metals, organic pollutants and oil spills in water as well as to recover precious metals from mine tailings. Currently, I am also extensively working on characterization method development for 2D materials, particularly graphene, using characterization tools beyond their conventional use.
