Larisa is a leading neuroscientist and biochemist within UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences with expertise in stress response, diabetes and neurological disorders. Her research focuses on investigation of cellular and biochemical mechanisms of diseases, identifying novel biomarkers and testing novel treatments using animal models. She leads a number of research projects and supervises PhD and Honours students.  
Larisa is also a passionate teacher. Her teaching philosophy is to provide students with the knowledge and skills that will allow them to successfully begin their professional career.
