Dr Craig Lockwood, RN, BN, GradDip, MNSc, PhD is Associate Professor Implementation Science, Faculty of Health Sciences, The University of Adelaide; and Adjunct Associate Professor, Queen's School of Nursing, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is the Director of Implementation Science, responsible for JBI education, training, software, methods and methodology for evidence implementation. Craig is also Co-Chair of the JBI Implementation Science Methods Group, with core interests in evidence implementation and qualitative synthesis, both from a theoretical and pragmatic perspective.

My program of research encompasses three core domains: Qualitative Systematic Reviews, Implementation Science in healthcare policy and practice and Models of Healthcare/Health Service Delivery.  PhD ready applicants only.

Systematic Reviews:

Qualitative synthesis is my core program of investigation, and includes philosophy, epistemology, methodology and methods for synthesis of qualitative data. While open to new projects in this field, I have existing work on all aspects of qualitative synthesis, including protocol development, searching, critical appraisal, data extraction and synthesis, evaluation of confidence in qualitative findings, and reporting standards.

Implementation Science:

Methodology, method and frameworks for implementation and implementation science, including the study of:

behaviour change models and mechanisms,

barriers, facilitators and implementation strategies

Context analysis, Facilitation of Change and Evaluation of process and outcome in Implementation Science

Models of Nursing and Healthcare/Health Service Delivery:

To establish evidence-based models and frameworks for delivery of healthcare and health services, particularly nurse-led services across specialties and sectors.
