Dandara is a Lecturer & Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Adelaide Dental School. She has a Bachelor in Dentistry and a PhD in Dental Public Health & Epidemiology. Over the last five years she has been involved in different research projects, analysing large linked data platforms and datasets from population-based health studies (cross-sectional and cohort studies). Her research program is focused on building the evidence that is needed to improve general and oral health outcomes for populations who experience multiple forms of social and racial disadvantage. Dandara teaches research methods and principles of Public Health and Epidemiology in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery & Bachelor of Oral health. She is working with the Indigenous Oral health Unit and the BetterStart group on various projects involving epidemiological analysis of cohort studies and randomised clinical trials.
