Dr. Tin Kei Wong is a Lecturer in the Department of Asian Studies within the School of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on historical translation studies, the intangible cultural heritage of Hong Kong, and the translation of Hong Kong literature. She has held visiting fellowships at prestigious institutions, including Academia Sinica in Taiwan and the National Library of Australia, and has led significant research projects funded by esteemed grants.

Dr. Wong’s research interests encompass translation studies, the translation of children's literature and women's writing, intercultural studies, and the intangible cultural heritage of Hong Kong. Her recent projects include investigations into female missionary translations in China, the translation of texts on the intangible cultural heritage of Hong Kong, and the translation of Australian beach safety signage. Her dedication to cultural preservation and cross-cultural understanding is evident in her scholarly contributions.

As a NAATI-certified interpreter and translator, Dr. Wong bridges the gap between industry and academic communities. She teaches courses on Chinese language and translation to undergraduate students, and Translation and Interpreting Studies (TIS) to MA students in the Master of Arts in Interpretation, Translation, and Transcultural Communication (MAITTC) program. Dr. Wong actively promotes gender diversity, Indigenous inclusion, and early career development through her roles in various committees and networks.

Dr. Wong's work focuses on historical translation studies, the intangible cultural heritage of Hong Kong, and the translation of Hong Kong literature.
