I'm a researcher of language, gender, and power. I'm especially interested in how authoritarian regimes use language to maintain power. My PhD, completed in 2025, used Critical Discourse Analysis to examine the influence of top leaders' speeches on the enforcement of divorce law in China. I'm also a NAATI Certified Chinese to English translator, and am open to translation work and collaborative research opportunities.
