Dr. Xiaohui Liu holds a multidisciplinary educational background, including PhD in Banking and Finance from the University of Adelaide, a Master of Commerce (Advanced) with a major in Financial Accounting from the Australian National University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jiangnan University, China. She is a lecturer and course coordinator at the University of Adelaide Business School. She teaches postgraduate courses emphasizing quantitative methods in finance and accounting, such as Quantitative Methods, Equity Valuation and Analysis, and Financial Statement Analysis. Xiaohui's research focuses on corporate finance and accounting, exploring seasoned equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, spillover effects, earnings management, executive compensation, and corporate disclosures. She also actively develops working papers on the impact of environmental/ human factors on corporate financial strategies, including biodiversity risks, corporate equality, and board ethnicity.
