Mrs Veronica Tziavrangos

Lecturer, Physiotherapy

School of Allied Health and Human Performance

College of Health

I am a lecturer in Physiotherapy and the Course Coordinator for Physiotherapy Studies 200 (REHB 2041) and Clinical Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (REHB 4056, Advanced Rehabilitation (B) (REHB 4051) and Clinical Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (GE) (REHB 6011).  I also teach into the Applied Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy undergraduate and graduate entry courses.
I have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy (Hons) and a Masters in Physiotherapy (Sports and Musculoskeletal), both from UniSA.  My work in public and private hospitals for over 20 years, predominantly in Intensive Care Units, as well as my work in private practice for 15 years, and co-ownership of a number of private allied health clinics across Adelaide, give me great knowledge of what our graduates need to be ready to enter the workforce.
I have worked at UniSA as a clinic educator for over 10 years, and really enjoy bringing my clinical experience, industry connections and enthusiasm for our great profession to the classroom.  I enjoy building the skill sets of our learners over the years and helping them to be ready to graduate and join the work force.
I have an interest in work readiness and have recently conduted reserach in the field of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning to investigate how we can prepare final year students to feel more ready to work in private practice on graduating.  The findings were presented at the National Australian Physiotherapy Association Conference about these innovative curriculum additions to our fourth year program to build this in our UniSA students.
