College of Engineering and Information Technology
PhD Candidate in Bioinformatics at Adelaide University. My research develops computational methods that integrate causal inference and multi-omics data to identify genes driving Long COVID and cancer, with the goal of identifying personalised treatment targets.
I hold a Master's in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Fiocruz (Brazil), where I developed a novel treatment for Acute Lymphoid Leukemia, and a Bachelor's in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. My background combines wet lab and computational work, with experience in Python, R, and several bioinformatics pipelines.
Previous positions include Biotechnology Researcher at Oxiteno (recombinant microorganism development) and Bioinformatics Intern at A.C. Camargo Cancer Center (lung cancer prognosis). I've also tutored Data Wrangling and Social Media Analytic at the University of South Australia (2024–2025). I'm active in the scientific community through PyLadies Brazil and Women in Bioinformatics.
Supported by the Research Training Program International (RTPi) and the University President's Scholarship (UPS). Open to collaborations in bioinformatics, causal inference, and multi-omics integration.
Doctoral Research Focus (2022 - Present): Developing different computational frameworks for personalized medicine for Long COVID.
