Dr Sam Baroudi

Dr Sam Baroudi is well known within industry and academia for his construction and project management expertise. He has academic qualifications within these areas coupled with extensive experience on various building projects across Australia. His professional career culminated in the founding and directing of commercial construction company Baroudi Zoina Pty Ltd. He was an active director of this company for 10 years. Since leaving professional practice Dr Baroudi has devoted his time to the education and research needs of industry. He spent many years as a program director and an academic at the University of South Australia and during his time there was awarded his Doctor of Project Management. At the University of Adelaide he has previously served as the Head of Discipline (Management) and as the Program Director for the Bachelor of Project Management program in the Adelaide Business School. He also teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in project management. Dr Baroudi is an active researcher and has published widely on various construction and project management topics. In recent years significant time has been spent on disaster recovery project management. Much of this research has been conducted in collaboration with Associate Professor Randy Rapp from Purdue University a leading research institution in the U.S.A.
