Ruidong joined the University of Adelaide in 2020, after working as a research fellow at National University of Singapore and an assistant professor at Bond University. His research area is sustainability in Construction 4.0. He has participated in various research projects funded or supported by institutions such as the Building Construction Authority of Singapore, National Science Foundation of China and International Energy Agency.
Ruidong's field of research is construction management. Sustainability transition and digital transition are two major trends in the construction industry. Ruidong's research focuses on sustainability in Construction 4.0 with the following research interests.
- Green Building Information Modelling, namely 6D BIM
Corporate and industry level:
- Technology diffusion, industry competition and market dynamics of Construction 4.0, including BIM, renewable energy and prefabrication technologies
- Policy framework and industry standards for Construction 4.0
