Rida Akzar is a lecturer at the School of Economics and Public Policy. He holds a PhD degree from the University of Adelaide (2021). His research interests are on the topic of agricultural technology adoption, rural development, food value chain, and agricultural policy. As an early career researcher, he works on projects funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) on smallholder dairy farmers development in Indonesia (IndoDairy) and mobile finance in Lao and Cambodia. Previously, he worked on projects funded by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Australia and the World Bank. Besides research, he has extensive experience in undertaking administrative and research management activities and duties such as data collection (e.g. household surveys, value chain interviews), stakeholder engagements, project reporting, and dissemination.
