Research topic: Study on Radiation-enhanced Thermal Diode Tanks (RTDT) for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Systems. This project aims to develop a water-cooling measure called RTDT for RAC systems and understand the correlation between its cooling performance and design parameters, and also develop design guidelines for the RTDT-integrated RAC systems in various climate regions. The outcomes will advance the improvements of the RAC system's energy efficiency and the RTDT is expected to be a cost-effective alternative to other condenser-cooling methods.
