Research topic: Study on Radiation-enhanced Thermal Diode Tanks (RTDT) for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) Systems. This project aims to develop a water-cooling measure called RTDT for RAC systems and understand the correlation between its cooling performance and design parameters, and also develop design guidelines for the RTDT integrated RAC systems in various climate regions. The outcomes will advances the improvements of the RAC system’s energy efficiency and the RTDT is expected to be a cost-effective alternative of other condenser-cooling methods.
