I am a PhD candidate with the Centre for Orthopaedic and Trauma Research (COTR) with an interest in the use of 3D gait analysis and MRI in characterising paediatric hip pathologies. My PhD project seeks to understand if a combination of gait analysis and MRI measurements/techniques can differentiate between a) pathologies and b) surgical state (e.g., pre-surgery, post-surgery, no-surgery), with a final aim of understanding the role of MRI and gait analysis in treatment pathways. I am currently investigating the use of dynamic MRI in children with and without Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip.
