Dr Lucylynn Lizarondo
I am a physiotherapist by background with a particular interest in allied health implementation research. My PhD research (completed in 2013) explored the determinants of evidence uptake in allied health and investigated the impact of a structured journal club on the research utilization of allied health practitioners. Following my PhD, I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Australia where I developed, implemented and evaluated a clinical performance evaluation framework for allied health practitioners. During this time, I also conducted numerous systematic reviews and rapid reviews for various commissioning bodies. I recently joined the Joanna Briggs Institute as a Research Fellow in the Implementation Science team. My current work involves developing evidence-based practice teaching modules and resources, mentoring clinicians to develop, implement and evaluate strategies to facilitate research utilization, conducting research to evaluate clinical practice guideline implementation, and developing tools and strategies to facilitate evidence implementation.
When I’m not working, I love being in the kitchen--baking makes me happy!
My research is focused on evidence synthesis, evidence transfer and evidence implementation in allied health.
