Lemuel Pelentsov is Professorial Lead for Preregistration Nursing, Accreditation and Quality and Program Director for the Bachelor of Nursing within Clinical and Health Sciences Academic Unit at the University of South Australia. Lemuel is responsible for the engagement of teaching and related activities within preregistration nursing, he oversees the quality delivery of courses, the maintenance of curriculum integrity, and provides leadership and support to academic staff and teaching teams, as well as sustained stretegic engagement with industry and key stakeholdrs.
Lemuel joined the University of South Australia in 2010 having spent many years working as a senior emergency nurse at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and abroad.
Lemuel's PhD investigated the supportive care needs of parents caring for children with rare diseases, and development of the Parental Needs Scale for Rare Diseases (PNS-RD), which is now used and adapted for use by researchers internationally to identify needs of families living with rare diseases and other chronic conditions, and to evaluate the quality of health service provision.
Lemuel contiues to prioritise collaborative research into support needs of individuals and families at a local, national and international level. Lemuel is an experienced higher degrees by research supervisor for both Master and PhD students.
