He has worked as a researcher in sociology and social work at the VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ha Noi since 2001. He obtained his PhD in Social Work and Social Policy from University of South Australia in 2013. His research interests and publications are in Viet Nam higher education, community development, support for dementia carers, social work education and practices in disability, migration, social inclusion and development.
