Dr Kerrilee Lockyer is a researcher and lecturer in Applied Linguistics with expertise in the communicative practices of professionals in organisational settings. Her work focuses on how language shapes promotion, persuasion, and influence across diverse contexts.
Kerrilee holds a BA (Hons) and PhD in Languages and Applied Linguistics from the University of South Australia. She is an active member of the Applied Linguistics Association of Australia and the Australian Linguistic Society, serves as Copy Editor for the Australian Review of Applied Linguistics, and reviews manuscripts for leading international publishers and journals.
Her teaching spans core areas of applied linguistics, including linguistic ethnography and the study of persuasion and influence. Kerrilee’s commitment to high-quality teaching has been recognised through multiple awards and nominations.
