My PhD research focuses on investigating the potential for the food policy council model's application in the Australian context, with a particular focus on how food policy councils can be designed to ensure their work equitably advocates for the needs of diverse demographics in the community.

Through this experience I look forward to strengthening the skills, knowledge and networks that I can apply in community engagement and research spaces alike to support the empowerment of local communities towards just and sustainable food systems.
