Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD - email supervisor to discuss availability.

I completed my PhD in Biomaterials Engineering at the University of Sheffield, UK. After a short period as a post-doc, I co-founded Plasso Technology Ltd. in 2003, to develop plasma polymerised coatings for life science applications. The company was VC funded for several years, and launched one product before being bought by US medical giant Becton Dickinson (BD). Following the buyout, I remained with BD to develop a range of tissue culture plastic products (BD Purecoat). In 2010 I accepted a research position at the Mawson Institute at the University of South Australia. In 2014 I moved to the School of Engineering to teach embedded systems and was later promoted to Professor, and served as Dean of Research for UniSA STEM. I am currently a Professor in the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Adelaide University.
