I am a PhD researcher at Adelaide University investigating lake carbon dynamics. My research integrates stable isotope biogeochemistry, metaomics, mass spectrometry, and physical limnology to resolve the drivers of lake carbon metabolism and greenhouse gas emission dynamics. Through my PhD, i want to help relsove specifc fractions of organic matter pools that are preffertially consumed by methane producing archaea, aiming to inform managment of lake and reservoir gas emmisions. My previous work examined salinity as a structuring force in biogeochemical cycling and microbial community composition, and its implications for methane emissions. I am keen to contribute actively to global research networks such as the Global Lake Ecology Observatory Network (GLEON), which fosters collaboration and scientific exchange across the limnological community. I welcome questions and discussion, so please feel free to get in touch.
