I am currently a Master of Research student at Adelaide University. My research focuses on developing a novel single-cell DNA sequencing method for bacteria and archaea. This method has three main advantages: it is cheap, user-friendly, and instrument-free. I have completed an internship in a NATA-accredited (ISO/IEC 17025) microbiology laboratory at the Australian Water Quality Centre. I am currently working as a Research Assistant on a project using eDNA to detect sawfish in the Kimberley region. My research interests focus on all aspects of “microbial dark matter.” Please feel free to contact me if you would like to learn more about this method or discuss potential collaborations.
