I am a Master of Research student at the University of Adelaide. My project focuses on developing novel single-cell DNA sequencing methods for bacteria and archaea, with the aim of enabling single-cell DNA sequencing in environmental research. My work centres on creating low-cost, instrument-free, and user-friendly workflows to enable scalable genomic analysis of microbial dark matter in resource-limited settings.
I have experience in environmental microbiology and applied molecular diagnostics, including an internship at a NATA-accredited (ISO/IEC 17025) microbiology laboratory at the Australian Water Quality Centre, as well as current work on eDNA-based detection of sawfish in the Kimberley region.
My research interests include microbial genomics, single-cell methods, and the development of accessible sequencing technologies for non-model and environmental systems.
