Dr Chamitha Wijewickrama is a Lecturer in Construction Management. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying with First Class Honours from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and a PhD in Construction Management from the University of South Australia.
Her research focuses on the environmental and social sustainability of the construction industry, with particular interests in circular economy and reverse logistics, construction workforce wellbeing and safety, Indigenous participation in construction, social procurement, and digital technologies in construction. Her research is strongly industry-engaged and seeks to address practical challenges through collaboration with government, industry and community partners.
Dr Wijewickrama has secured competitive research funding from government, industry and university schemes and supervises Higher Degree by Research students across areas including circular economy, modular construction, construction workforce issues and sustainable construction. She is also actively involved in national and international research collaborations, scholarly publishing and peer review.
