Andre Andrade is an Associate Research Professor at Adelaide University's Quality Use of Medicine Research Centre (QUMPRC).
A physician and digital health entrepreneur, Andre joined UniSA in 2018 after more than a decade in the health industry. As an academic, A/Prof Andrade has been awarded > $30 million in grants and public tenders. In 2022, he was finalist in the Research Australia Awards - Data Innovation.
His current research focuses on the development and evaluation of digital health tools to improve proper use of medication,including prescription, adherence and safety. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, this research includes both technical and implementation aspects of digital health interventions, focused in:
Creating and evaluating digital tools for therapy-related clinical decision making
Implementation of quality use of medicine interventions at national scale
Developing and evaluating tools for patient use, particularly concerning digital biomarkers for medication adherence, outcome and safety
