I am an interdisciplinary graduate researcher, based in the School of Psychology, researching the intersectional dynamics of workplace sexual harassment. Drawing on social and organisational psychology and sociology, I am using Constructivist Grounded Theory methodology and methods to analyse real-world complaints and interviews with industry experts.
I have applied research experience, collaborating with a range of industry interest-holders, including government departments and private organisations. I received an industry internship scholarship, and I spent six months at the Australian Human Rights Commission's Sex Discrimination Commissioner working on several high-profile projects, including the Speaking from Experience report. In the past 5 years I have also contributed to Set the Standard: Report on the Independent Review of Commonwealth Parliamentary Workplaces, the review of the Workplace Gender Equality Act, consulted on sexual harassment intervention efficacy, and delivered participatory workshops with workers from one of Australia's largest private employers.
I utilise my interdisciplinary background in psychological science, gender studies and social analysis to advocate for improving the health and wellbeing outcomes for minoritised communities in academic research, organisational systems, and health practices. For the past 5 years I have sat on the Australian Psychological Society's Committee for Diverse Bodies Genders and Sexualities, using this position to successfully advocate for more inclusive policies and practices. My honours thesis, under Associate Professor Melissa Oxlad, focused on LGBTQ+ people's experiences of pregnancy loss and support, which has led to several publications, an award-winning conference presentation, and workshops for allied health clinicians.
From 2021 to 2025 I was employed at The Centre for Workplace Excellence (formerly at the University of South Australia), conducting applied mixed methods research into workplace bullying, as part of a team led by Professor Michelle Tuckey. I have also collaborated on qualitative projects with colleagues at The University of Adelaide, University of Queensland, Flinders University and the University of Malmo (Sweden).
