Sajad has held leadership and professorial positions in Australia and Canada, demonstrating extensive expertise in both research and education. He has a PhD in Supply Chain Management from Deakin, along with other qualifications, including an MBA, MEd, and GradCert.

Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor, Enterprise Fellow, and Visiting Research Fellow in Supply Chain Management. Previously, Sajad was the Director of Research & Engagement at Memorial University in Canada and held academic roles as an Assistant/Associate Professor at Monash and Swinburne, alongside various other academic and industry positions.

Sajad’s latest research focuses on the role of procurement and supply networks in developing sustainable and resilient supply chains.

He has published in top-tier journals and is an active member of the Academy of Management (AoM), the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA), and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

Sajad welcomes collaborative projects focused on studying procurement and supply networks for developing deforestation-free and slavery-free supply chains.
