Dr Gary Bowman is the MBA Director at Adelaide Business School (The University of Adelaide) and an Associate Professor in Strategy. Gary has a MA(Hons) and PhD from the University of St Andrews (UK) in strategic management, specialising in scenario analysis and the application of scenarios to long-term strategic planning. His postdoctoral research, at the University of Cambridge (UK), where he was the Cambridge-Singapore Risk Fellow, focused on the socio-economic impact of catastrophic events. Prior to joining The University of Adelaide, Gary was at Bond University in Queensland where he was MBA Director, Associate Professor of Global Strategy, and led the Bond Business School’s research on Governance, Accountability and Purpose.  He has extensive private and public sector experience, working on consulting and research projects for multinational enterprises (MNEs) across multiple industries and at various levels of government. Gary is an award-winning lecturer and his research, published in world leading journals, spans the fields of risk and strategy; his most recent work examines the impact of natural disasters on the governance and strategic decisions of MNEs.
