Rebecca is currently a Senior Research Fellow in Wardliparingga, SAHMRI and working on the Aboriginal Health Practitioner Diabetes Training project.
Rebecca's research has been focused in the area of diabetes with her PhD exploring people with Type 1 diabetes experience of self-management in hospital. In her previous role as a Nurse Researcher across CALHN and the ANS, Rebecca was involved in numerous research on nurses' experiences of working during COVID-19, the Single room study, HIRAID, No Shame elder abuse RCT and numerous projects in wound care.
Rebecca is the Principal Investigator of the South Australia Inpatient Diabetes Survey (SAIDS) 2022 that was undertaken across SA in National Diabetes Week (July 10 - 16). Rebecca is a member of the Australian Diabetes Society's In Hospital diabetes management committee that are developing the national diabetes in hospital audit. Rebecca is also a member of the ADEA's Research Advisory Group that provides advice to the Board and supports and mentors developing research amongst the members.
