Scott Oliphant is a PhD student at the University of Adelaide's School of Agriculture, Food & Wine. Scott is part of the Wine Microbiology group where he undertakes research involving the discovery of novel genera and species of lactic acid bacteria. These species have been isolated in various remote Australian regions, and have the potential utility in industrial or food related fermentations.
