Mr Wenpeng You

School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences

College of Health

Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD - email supervisor to discuss availability.

Wenpeng has an extensive background in biology, life science, teaching, nursing, and medicine. His broad knowledge of nutrition, diet, aetiologies of non-communicable diseases, human biology, and the evolution of human lifestyle and birth behaviours has enabled him to extensively publish in multiple areas, such as medicine and nursing.Wenpeng has a diverse and rich career spanning over 20 years across the education, healthcare, and food industries. His academic learning and work experience have developed his well-honed professional and interpersonal skills, which equipped him to teach in the fields of nursing, epidemiology, pharmacology, gross anatomy, physiology, and pathology.Wenpeng’s strong knowledge of nutrition, diet, food safety (poisons), and food security developed through his background as a food quality assurance manager has made him qualified as a food quality assurance manager, which has been recognised by the governments in Australia, China, the European Commission, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, and the USA. He has worked in Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania. He is able to act as principal supervisor for high-research degree students in both the Adelaide Nursing School and the School of Biomedicine of the University of Adelaide. Students finishing their studies could be awarded a PhD in nursing or a PhD in medicine. He has a data repository that could provide his enrolled PhD students with whole sets of analysed data for writing articles for publication. This process will lay a good foundation for his students to explore their own research goals.
