Dr Sam Baroudi

Dr Sam Baroudi is well known within industry and academia for his construction and project management expertise. He has academic qualifications within these areas coupled with extensive experience on various building projects across Australia. His professional career culminated in the founding and directing of commercial construction company Baroudi Zoina Pty Ltd. He was an active director of this company for 10 years. Dr Baroudi has since spent many years in academia advancing the education and research needs of industry. He was Program Director of the postgraduate project management offerings at the University of South Australia and a senior academic. During his time there he was awarded a Doctor of Project Management. At the University of Adelaide he has served as the Head of Discipline (Management) and as Program Director for the newly established undergraduate project management program in the Adelaide Business School. He teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in project management inclusive of research education. Dr Baroudi is an active researcher and has published widely on various construction and project management topics. Of note, significant time has been spent on disaster recovery project management with much of this research conducted in collaboration with Purdue University a leading research institution in the U.S.A.
