School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials
Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences
Eligible to supervise Masters and PhD - email supervisor to discuss availability.
A/ Prof Zeyad Alwahabi obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics and laser spectroscopy from the University of Sussex, England in 1991. He joined the University of Adelaide as a research associate in 1992. His research aims to better engineering by the great photonics and focuses on the interaction of radiation with matter. He has worked in range of multidisciplinary programs including: reorientation in molecular collisions, second-harmonic generation in ion-implanted wave-guides, molecular energy transfer with multi-photon IR laser excitation, linear and nonlinear laser diagnostics in combustion, plasma and nonreactive multiphase flows. He published over 150 research papers in the area of laser spectroscopy and laser diagnostics. He is an executive member of the Centre of Energy technology and member of the Institute of Photonics and Advanced Sensing.
