Prof. Zenki Kwan is currently serving as the Adjunct Professor at College of Business and Law at Adelaide University covering the MBA program. He is also the Chief Investment Officer of a Single Family Office based in Hong Kong spearheading the firm’s investment strategy and chairing the Investment Committee. In his family office, Prof. Kwan is responsible for designing and implementing investment strategies across equities, fixed income, funds, and structured products for the family’s multi-billion portfolio. Prior to his role as the CIO, Prof. Kwan was the vice-president of the private equity subsidiary covering the consumer sector in Finsoft Financial Investment Holdings (8018.HK), and spent his earlier career in McKinsey, Samsung Securities, UBS and J.P. Morgan from being a management consultant, equity researcher to corporate finance banker.
 
Prof. Kwan earned his Doctor of Business Administration degree from SBS Swiss Business School, Switzerland. He also completed Harvard Law School Executive Education Program and Oxford Fintech Program. In addition, he holds three Master Degrees - Master of Finance (major in financial engineering and risk management) from The University of Hong Kong, Master of Science in Professional Accountancy from University of London (Academic Direction: University College London), and Master of Applied Business Research from SBS Swiss Business School. He graduated with a first-class honor degree in business administration (major in finance and information systems) from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and received Beta Gamma Sigma honor for his outstanding performance.
 
Prof. Kwan holds professional qualifications such as certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Fellow of CPA (Australia), EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst® (CESGA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and Certified Banker (CB). He is qualified as an independent non-executive director by Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and gained the Certificate in ESG investing from Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute.
 
In addition to his role at Adelaide University, Prof. Kwan is also serving as an Adjunct Professor and Academic Advisor at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) for their Family Office Programmes, and teaching accounting, finance and economic subjects for postgraduate and undergraduate students. He has also been invited by banks, insurance companies, asset management companies, and NGOs to deliver keynote speeches and seminars. 
 
Prof. Kwan is passionate in education, learning and writing. He was the columnist of Metro Daily and a co-author of investing book which is available at Harvard Business School Baker library as a reference book to Harvard Business School students. He is also occasionally interviewed by Hong Kong Economic Journal and Hong Kong Economic Times to share his thoughts on latest financial market events. He is a three-time awardee for the Outstanding Teacher Award at HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education in both academic year 2019/2020, 2021/22 and 2023/24 for his excellence in teaching and possessing a high impact in the advancement of students’ learning.
