Dr Yutong Xie is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide (UoA), and a member of the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML), working with A/Prof. Qi Wu. She obtained her PhD in 2021 from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), China, under the supervision of Prof. Yong Xia. She has also spent about two years at UoA during her PhD studies, under the supervision of Prof. Chunhua Shen and A/Prof. Johan Verjans. Dr Xie’s focus is mainly on computer vision and data analytics in the healthcare sector, aiming to develop smart solutions to assist healthcare professionals in anatomical structure segmentation, disease diagnosis and therapy. Recently, she has been investigating efficient deep learning for medical data analysis under limited annotations. She has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in flagship journals/conferences proceedings including MICCAI, CVPR, ECCV, IJCAI, IEEE-TMI, IEEE-TIP, Medical Image Analysis, IEEE-TCSVT, Information Fusion. Her research has attracted over 3,200 citations with an H-index of 21 (Google Scholar)
