Dr Yusuf J. Ferdosi is a Research Associate at the Future Industries Institute of the University of South Australia. He holds a PhD in Mineral Processing (University of South Australia) and two Masters in Analytical/Surface Chemistry (University of Allahabad, India and Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology). His work as a Metallurgist in different industries suggests practical experience in applying his knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Dr Ferdosi’s research interests are in the field of physiochemical separation and beneficiation of complex mineral ores, and hydrometallurgy, with a focus on innovative metallurgical studies conducive to the recovery of minerals such as graphite, copper sulfide minerals, rare earth elements (REE) that occur in complex deposits.
Additionally, his commitment to education and passion for teaching, especially in making material science accessible to a broader audience, reflects a desire to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
