Dr. Yulin Li is a Lecturer in Finance at the University of Adelaide. He teaches a wide range of subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Business Finance, Financial Statement Analysis, and Advanced Corporate Finance. Dr. Li earned a PhD in Finance from the University of Adelaide in 2023 and also holds a Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) from the University of Adelaide, as well as an MSc in International Finance from Nottingham Trent University, UK. Dr. Li’s research focuses on Corporate Finance, with a particular interest in executive compensation, within-firm pay disparity, and Corporate Governance. Additionally, Dr. Li is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) Charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Dr. Yulin Li’s research focuses on key areas of Corporate Finance, including executive compensation, institutional shareholder investment horizons, shareholder governance, labor investment efficiency, stock price crash risk, and the influence of Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) on corporate practices. His work contributes to a deeper understanding of how these factors shape corporate behavior and performance. For instance, his co-authored paper, "CEO-employee pay ratio and labor investment efficiency," explores the impact of pay disparity on labor investment decisions. Additionally, his study, "Disclosure of Rank-and-File Employee Pay Gap and Crash Risk," examines the effects of wage transparency on corporate stability. Another ongoing project, "Biodiversity Risk and Firm Efficiency," investigates the implications of environmental risks for corporate operational efficiency.
