I am a PhD student at Adelaide University working in computational genomics of haematological malignancies. My research focuses on developing systematic approaches to detect and interpret germline copy-number variants (CNVs), copy-neutral loss of heterozygosity (cnLOH), and complex structural variation in familial leukaemia. This includes benchmarking and optimising variant-detection workflows, developing cohort-scale filtering and prioritisation frameworks, and integrating family co-segregation with genomic and biological evidence to identify candidate predisposition variants. Alongside this work, I develop transcriptomic and data-driven approaches to investigate disease biology and risk stratification in myeloid malignancies, including a TP53-pathway expression signature in acute myeloid leukaemia. My broader goal is to improve the interpretation of currently unresolved inherited variation and its contribution to haematological malignancy predisposition.
