Dr. Yanqiu Lyu’s research focuses on the sustainable recycling of spent lithium-ion battery cathode materials using deep eutectic solvents, particularly for the selective recovery of critical metals and solvent regeneration. His work also explores electrolyte design and interfacial chemistry for aqueous zinc-based energy storage systems. Through integrating materials chemistry, hydrometallurgical processing, and mechanistic investigation, his research aims to advance greener critical materials recovery and next-generation energy storage technologies.
