Yali is an academic researcher and PhD candidate at the School of Education, University of Adelaide. Her academic work is mainly concerned with flexible and online learning, and effective use of technology to enhance learning engagement. She has extensive experience in areas including education and marketing in three different countries (Australia, UK and China).

Prior to pursuing her doctoral studies, Yali commenced her career in marketing and later worked as a university lecturer. During the last few years of teaching, Yali has designed and delivered engaging undergraduate courses to thousands of students across education, humanities and business disciplines. This allowed her to gain skillset on multiple online learning platforms and learning management systems (LMSs). Most recently, Yali worked as a course builder for the University of Adelaide to enhance digital learning experiences using LMSs (Canvas, Moodle), H5P and media resources.
