Yali Chen

Yali is a PhD student at the School of Education, University of Adelaide. Prior to pursuing her doctoral studies, Yali worked as a lecturer at university in China for four years, where she gained valuable teaching experience and developed passion for improving students’ engagement. She has extensive experience in blended and online learning, as well as in curriculum design and development. Her research interests focus on education technology, particularly in synchronous and asynchronous learning and effective use of technology to enhance learning.
During the last few years of teaching, Yali delivered a total of over 15 courses to more than 1500 undergraduate level students across the Department of Foreign Language Studies. She also engaged in the design and development of over 10 online courses. This allowed her to gain skillset on multiple online learning platforms and learning management systems (Canvas, Moodle and Chinese MOOCs). She also worked as an Education Content Developer at the University of Adelaide with the online course content development.
