After a BSc and an MSc from the Middle East Technical University and a PhD from the University of Western Australia, I joined University of South Australia in 1996, and worked as a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and then Associate Professor of Mathematics, until 2021. Since 2021, I have been an adjunct member of UniSA.
My interests span optimization, control, and numerical analysis, mainly concerned with devising numerical techniques and algorithms. Currently, they focus on
Discretized solutions of single- and multi-objective optimal control problems
Operator splitting and projection methods for optimal control problems
Optimal path planning: finding curves that meet certain optimization criteria.
