Xuanyu Chen is a researcher at the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health (ARCPOH) within the School of Dentistry. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine in Stomatology in 2024 from Xi’an Jiaotong University, a member of China’s C9 League, where she received comprehensive training in dentistry, oral medicine, and biomedical sciences.
Her research focuses on human oral microbiome, bioinformatics, computational biology, and epidemiology. Her work aims to reduce population biases in oral microbiome research, particularly regarding Indigenous and other underrepresented communities. She is also interested in exploring links between the oral microbiome and systemic health, particularly within the context of the oral–brain axis.
