Xiyang (Steve) Chen is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Adelaide under the supervision of Professor Mark Jaksa and Drs. An Deng and Fereydoon Pooya Nejad. He graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2018 with an Honours degree in Civil & Structural Engineering. He is a current member of the SA/NT Chapter Committee of the Australian Geomechanics Society. During his studies, he worked as a part-time assistant engineer in the industry and teaching assistant at the university.
