His major research interest is in new technology applications and his major research field is in online market and consumer study.
His PhD (Sep/2019-May/2023) is basically investigating online market consumer behaviour with flexible data approaches. The research topic is "Investigating online market consumer behaviour applying spatial, big data and machine learning approaches: cases in Daigou, e-commerce platform and NFT market". He also co-authored research on agricultural economics and public policy.
For 2022-2023, he honed and polished his technical skills in applying AI tools in the systematic literature review (SLR) while working with Dr Alexandra Peralta and Dr Rida Akzar. This is widely presented to HDR students and researchers in schools of University of Adelaide and also other universities around Australia. He applied Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods to examine the role of user-generated comments on the product in this process. Also, he studied the bargaining power of trading parties in the NFT crypto market using Ethereum blockchain NFT transaction data.
For 2017-2021, he studied the Daigou (informal cross-border e-commerce practice) phenomenon and its ecology. From 2018 to 2023, he also worked as a research assistant for several programs on the Australian mango business, water policy, park interventions, and Chinese food survey.
