(David) Wenzhu Tang is a Ph.D. student at the Centre for Global Food and Resources under the supervision of Dr. Di Zeng and Associate Professor Alec Zuo.

His Ph.D. (2019-2022) was basically investigating e-commerce with flexible data approaches. He also co-authored papers on agricultural economics and public policy.

For 2021-2022, he worked on the price formation process for online infant formula products and applied Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods to examine the role of user-generated comments of the product in this process.

For 2017-2021, he studied the Daigou (informal cross-border e-commerce practice) phenomenon and its ecology. During this time, he also worked as a research assistant for several programs on the Australian mango business, water policy, park interventions, and Chinese food survey.
