Wawan Kurniawan is a PhD student focusing on the transformative potential of digital learning within Indonesian high school science education. Grounded in a Bachelor of Education in Science Education and a Master of Education, Wawan brings a strong understanding of both pedagogical principles and the specific needs of science curricula. His research is driven by a keen interest in the effective integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to elevate student engagement and academic performance, and deepen conceptual understanding in science.
Wawan's work explores innovative digital learning strategies and resources tailored to the Indonesian context. He is particularly interested in how ICTs can foster students’ interest in science, which leads to better science performance in high school. Motivated by a desire to modernize science education, Wawan aims to identify and promote digital tools that create more interactive, accessible, and impactful learning experiences. Ultimately, his research aims to improve the quality of science education in developing countries through thoughtful and effective technology integration
