Wanniwat is currently Senior Lecturer at Adelaide University and part of the AU Attainment Model, the university's teaching and learning leadship portfolio dedicated to the university's cutting-edge Common Core.
 
He holds a PhD from Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AACSB), Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, MA in International Business and Management from Bradford School of Management (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA), University of Bradford, UK, and took part of his study at EM Lyon Business School, France. 
 
Wanni has substantial experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, curriculum development, industry-integrated course design and leading academic teams to high-quality teaching. He also has credible professional experience that revolves around business incubation and acceleration, venture start-ups, research and consultancies. This eventually led to him being recognised with the UniSA Business Staff Teaching Excellence Award for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025. 
 
Before joining AU, Wanni was Lecturer (Entrepreneurship) at The University of South Australia (UniSA) and Lecturer (Management, Organisation, Entrepreneurship and Human Resources at Thammasat Business School (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA), one among 32 'triple-crown' top business schools in Asia. He also held the Lecturer and Lead: Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Digital Transformation Cluster position at RMIT University Australia (Vietnam Campus).
 
Wanni is also active in research. His publications appear in ABDC's A-ranked and Scimago Q1 journals. His last research project also secured AUD 82,000 funded by the National Innovation Agency (NIA) Thailand. In addition, his PhD student in an Australian university, whom he recently supervised has passed at the top 5% of all theses submitted in the past three years.  
 
Wanni's research interests are entrepreneurship, innovation and business model; firm strategy and management; tourism entrepreneurship; international management; and quantitative analyses. He has expertise in teaching Entrepreneurship, Business Management and Strategy, and Marketing.
 
Wanni currently leads courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and the cutting-edge Common Core at AU.
