Wajeeha is a PhD candidate at School of Dentistry. She did her Bachelors in Dentistry and MSc in  Epidemiolgy and Biostatistics from Aga Khan University, Pakistan.Her previous research contributions reflect a consistent commitment to global health and health equity in low- and middle-income contexts. She has published peer-reviewed articles examining psychosocial resilience and quality of life among cancer patients in Pakistan, as well as oral health inequities among children. She has served as a reviewer for grant proposals and as a thesis committee member for graduate students, demonstrating academic leadership and mentorship.
Her current research focuses on Indigenous health equity and food security in Australia, including examining the associations between household food insecurity, dietary quality, and oral health among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Her work critically evaluates the limitations of conventional measurement approaches and contributes to advancing culturally responsive public health research. She has presented her research at national conferences and is currently expanding her work to map local food environments across Australian States and Territories to better understand structural determinants of food insecurity.
