As an academic physiotherapist, I have broad interests in teaching in the areas of cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, human physiology, cardiovascular function and molecular cardiology. I have achieved an exceptional track record of research success with multiple scholarships awarded and articles published. Throughout my academic career (>20 years), I have obtained strong teaching, research, administrative and communication skills that enable me to execute any given responsibilities individually and as a part of a team in a timely and efficient way. To date, I have been the primary supervisor for undergraduate and postgraduate students. I am driven to inspire students to pursue academic and personal excellence and wish to be actively involved in the improvement of patient outcomes. My long-term goal is to devote a significant portion of my time to building capacity and creating opportunities for interaction between undergraduate and postgraduate students.
