Dr Trevor Bailey is a Research Fellow at CASR, having retired after 18 years with the South Australian Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure where he was a Principal Policy Officer providing policy advice on a broad range of road safety matters to Government Ministers and Executives. In his time at CASR, Trevor has completed literature reviews involving international comparisons with Australian jurisdictions with respect to alcohol ignition interlock policy and usage, reductions in driver licensing rates among younger adults, and the crossover linkages between road safety and occupational health and safety for SafeWork SA. He has also been involved in projects related to motorcyclist safety, penalties for mobile phone use while driving and emergency services’ response arrangements following crashes.
